General Conditions

Lessons will be offered over the academic year in each instrument for which the student is registered. After registration, students will be scheduled and notified of recurring lesson dates and times.

This contract applies from 1.9. 2023 to 30.6.2024.

Payment Terms & Conditions

All students attending with Lirica Yamase, Oslo International Music School, must complete this contract. Its purpose is to state the terms and conditions for her/the music school students. 

All payments will be paid two months in advance. The prices will be at rates per half an hour, with 480 NOK for beginners, 500 NOK for intermediate (ABRSM Initial level/Grade 1 level and up) and 520 NOK for advanced levels (ABRSM Grade 5 level and up). The number of lessons will be based on the OIS school calendar and which days a week the student wants to be in session. All payments will be made in advance and are non-refundable. Payments will not be subject to reduced charges or rescheduling if a student cancels an appointment for planned holidays, parties, illnesses or any other changes of circumstances. 

If the OIS building is closed for coronavirus or other reasons, the lesson venue is switched to Furuveien 19B, 1356 Bekkestua. (2 minutes-drive from OIS) If physical lessons are not allowed because of the lockdown, they will be changed to online classes. These decisions are made strictly under the Norwegian Institute of Public Health's policy. Please follow Lirica Yamase, Oslo International Music School's instruction. 

The parents/guardians accept the payment terms and agree to 73 NOK in the past due fines unless the invoice is paid within seven days. If payment is not received two weeks after its due date, the student can be excluded from lessons, and the contract is subject to cancellation. Further, overdue payments can be charged with interest on the claim in accordance with the Act regarding Overdue Payments and Regulation regarding Overdue Payments. If the parent/guardian fails to pay within two weeks after the debt collection notice has been sent, the music school can initiate debt collection through a debt collection agency (Inkasso). 

If the students wish to terminate the contract, written notice must be given to Lirica Yamase no later than one month in advance. If no information is provided, the students will be automatically charged for another two months. 

All payments must be made to account number 0539.53.61041 and marked with the correct KID number. 

Students are expected to be on time for lessons. The parent/guardian is responsible for dropping their child off and picking them up at the OIS entrance where they will meet their instructor. The parents may organize this task with the third person/party; however, the responsibility belongs to the parents. 

Parents/guardians are obliged to buy books instructed by the teacher when necessary.
